Florence Factory is an independent concept store and online shop dedicated to contemporary craftsmanship and design in Florence, Italy.
Founded in 2016 by Jacopo Lotti and Lorenzo Bertini, Florence Factory was born from a simple idea: bring independent artisans and designers together, and give Florence's extraordinary creative heritage a contemporary voice.
Today, our store in Via dei Neri brings together the work of around 40 independent artisans and designers from Florence and Tuscany.*
Florence is still making things
Florence is famous for its past. We're interested in the people shaping its present.
Beyond the Renaissance masterpieces and historic streets, a new generation of artisans and designers continues to work, experiment and reinvent centuries-old traditions.
Some preserve techniques passed down through generations. Others explore new materials, unexpected shapes and entirely different ways of making things.
Florence Factory was created to give these voices a place of their own.
What began as a shared project connecting independent local workshops has grown into a curated store and online destination for people looking for something genuinely connected to Florence's living creative culture.
The art of choosing
We don't make everything we sell. We choose it.
And choosing is something we take seriously.
We look for original design, exceptional craftsmanship, thoughtful materials and a clear creative identity. We want to know who makes an object, how it is produced and what makes it worth choosing.
Our selection includes handmade leather bags, contemporary jewelry, independent fashion, ceramics, accessories and design objects.
Some pieces are unique. Others come in small editions or can be made to order.
We don't believe that being handmade is enough. Good craftsmanship deserves good design. And good design deserves to be made well.

We work directly with independent artisans and designers, building relationships based on mutual respect, curiosity and a shared appreciation for beautiful things made well.
We believe that the best objects create happiness at every stage: for the artisan who makes them, for us when we discover and select them, and for the person who eventually takes them home.

You might prefer an original piece of jewelry, a beautifully designed leather bag, an unexpected ceramic object or something you didn't know you were looking for.

Our store is in Via dei Neri 6/8R, in the historic centre of Florence, just a short walk from the Uffizi Gallery, Piazza della Signoria and Santa Croce.
We welcome visitors from around the world, offer tax-free shopping for eligible customers and ship internationally through our online store.

Majo, from the Marche region, is the only non-Tuscan brand in our collection.
When Florence Factory opened in 2016, finding independent Tuscan leather brands with their own original collections was surprisingly difficult. Much of the region's extraordinary craftsmanship was devoted to manufacturing for major luxury houses.
Choosing Majo was also our way of making a point: Tuscany, once synonymous with independent craftsmanship, had gradually lost part of its creative independence.
Fortunately, that story is changing. A new generation of Tuscan designers and leather artisans is reclaiming its identity, creating original collections under their own names.
Our growing selection of handmade leather bags from Tuscany is living proof of that revival.
Majo remains our one exception. And an important part of our story.

The bonbons collection inspired by the candy like nature of the stones. The colors are the focus, a simple string wraps the stone to create a parcel of gem. A fun, nostalgic, unique way to let the stones shine.
Bonbon is a collection charged with colours and sparkle. It represents the attempt to foreground the beauty of the stones in a fun way.
The idea is to wrap the stone around the finger with a simple string. The collection revisits the structure of jewellery and creates a playful new jewel with a faceted stone.
Jewels are made in gold-plated silver, synthetic corindons and crystals. All jewellery is hand made.
