Lume candles are hand-poured in Firenze by the social workshop “il candelaio”, where homeless people, excluded from society and from the collective consciousness, work to rekindle the light of their future .

A few steps from where I live, in the Florentine oltrarno, there is a social workshop that produces candles. Passing by it every day, I started to think about what I could design to help them with a common project. This is how Lume candles were born, to re-activate the virtuous circuit of small craft production, made of vision, territoriality, ethicality, innovation and also humanity.
