Details
We use only natural vegetable-tanned leather from Tuscany, a material chosen for its depth, durability, and ability to age beautifully. Vegetable tanning relies on natural tannins found in organic materials such as plants, giving the leather its distinctive character. Over time, exposure to light, air, touch, and daily use will gently change its color and texture, creating a natural patina. These variations are not imperfections, but part of what makes each bag unique. Our leather products include a guarantee label with traceability certification from the Consorzio Vera Pelle Italiana Conciata al Vegetale.
Care
Vegetable-tanned leather should be treated with care and allowed to age naturally. Marks, small traces, and color changes are part of its patina process; lighter shades may darken over time. Protect the leather from prolonged sun exposure, heat, water, grease, perfumes, cosmetics, and oils. Clean it gently with a soft, dry cloth. If the bag gets wet, dab it with a clean cloth and let it dry at room temperature — never use direct heat or a hairdryer. When not in use, store it in its cloth dust bag, lightly stuffed to preserve its shape, and avoid overfilling. Take extra care when wearing it with light-colored clothing, as color transfer may occur, especially if the leather is wet.
Arcotipo
Behind this piece is a contemporary accessories studio working between Florence and Barcelona, with strong roots in Italian leather tradition and a deep respect for fine craftsmanship. Its work combines minimalist design, natural materials, and the practical intelligence of skilled leather making.
The approach is deliberately slow: clean forms, neutral palettes, careful construction, and details considered for long-term use rather than seasonal noise. The result is a collection of accessories that feels modern, but not disposable; refined, but not fragile.
This is leatherwork for people who believe that a well-made object should not expire with a trend. It should travel, age, soften, and become better company over time.
